Conceptual design and feasibility study

Conceptual design services include feasibility studies, project development planning, technology evaluation and recommendations, risk management assessment, and front-end engineering based around the ion exchange technology. This phase establishes the early project definition of the engineering, procurement, and construction requirements and a detailed project estimate.

Process development

Our services include the development of a process concept into a complete process package for the IXSEP system. Whether the concept is based on an idea, lab data or pilot data, Ionex Separations experts will take this to an industrial scale facility. The specialist of the Process Department elaborate the complete process package of the Ionex plant starting from the data made available by the technology owner ( the Client itself or another producing Company ).

Technology

Ionex can provide a range of separation flow schemes to meet the customers specific requirements. Ionex Separations is a leader in separation solutions When the client has no process know- how available, our Process and Engineering departments can provide the required technology.

Basic design

Basic Design services with a cost estimate of +/- 10% permits the client to have in a short time a very realistic picture of the project’s technical characteristics, cost and execution schedule. The technical documentation, which is elaborated during this phase, constitutes the actual basis for the detailed engineering and enables the Client also to ask for permits required from the Authorities involved.

Detailed engineering

Preparation of all technical documents and drawings necessary to implement the plant. The engineering work is performed by utilizing Company standards which may be integrated or completely replaced by Client standards, if available.

Project management and control

It includes the coordination of the implementation of our IXSEP system into the overall project plus scheduling and cost control. For each project, a Project Manager with a qualified experience in the Pharmaceutical or Fine Chemical sector is appointed, who is responsible for all the project activities. For scheduling and cost control activities, internal computerized procedures are widely used.
